15 Landscape Laborers needed temporary, full-time from 4/1/2026 to
11/25/2026.
Work will be performed at multiple worksites in Will, Cook, Dupage,
Grundy, Kane, Kendall, and Lake counties IL.
Job Duties: Landscape or maintain grounds of property using hand or
power tools or equipment; prepare site for landscape installation by
moving dirt, marking beds and mixing soil; plant the root ball for small
trees using a spade and dig up and transplant trees and other
landscaping with a spade or small shovel. Lay sod, mow, trim, pruning,
weeding, watering, core aerating; dig holes with shovel, these holes can
be up to 24 inches depth and 36 inches in width. Rake, blow leaves,
clean up; spread grass seed, fertilizer and mulch; sprinkler
installation/repair, installation of mortarless segmental concrete
masonry wall units. Winterize Lawns by draining the sprinkler system to
remove excess water, removing fallen leaves using a standard rake or
leaf blower, Prune Trees and Shrubs from the ground using shears,
pruners or chain saws, fertilization of lawns and beds, add mulch and
wrap plants using twine, burlap, or plastic. Maintain equipment to
ensure proper functioning. May drive company vehicle to transport crews,
plants, materials and tools to/from or at worksites.
No Minimum Education Or Experience Required.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
Must be able to continuously bend and squat.
Must be able to work in adverse weather conditions.
Must be able to work a 5-day schedule, including weekends and holidays
as required.
Must be willing and able to work overtime when necessary.
Drivers License Preferred But Not Required.
Applicants must complete an employment application.
Required uniform provided at no cost to employee.
Employer will offer 40 hours of work per week. Normal workdays are
Monday - Friday from 7:00am-3:30pm with a 30-minute unpaid break. Work
days and shift time may vary with weather.
Basic rate of pay: \$21.26/hr. Employer may increase wage based on
Experience, Changes In Market Conditions, And/or Provide Additional Pay
for performance and tenure. Based on accrued weekly hours, worker
entitled up to 1 week PTO.
Overtime may be available. An overtime premium will be paid when
required by Federal, State, or local law, including at time-and-a-half
after 40 hours per workweek. Generally, when overtime is available it
will be paid at \$31.89 per hour.
Workers are provided with on-the-job training to perform the duties
assigned.
A single workweek will be used to compute wages. Pay received weekly.
The employer will make all deductions from the worker\'s paycheck
required by law.
Optional employee shared housing, including basic utilities, is
available at approximately \$135 per person, per week. The cost of
housing will be deducted from the workers paycheck if the worker elects.
The employer will provide daily transportation from main worksite in
Rockdale, to and from all worksite locations.
If the worker completes 50 percent of the work contract period, the
employer will arrange and pay directly for transportation and
subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon
completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed
earlier, the employer will provide or pay for workers reasonable costs
of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the
worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not
return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the
employer has appropriately reported a workers voluntary abandonment of
employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will
be equal to the most economical and reasonab e common carrier for the
distances involved. Daily meals will be provided at a rate of at least
\$16.28 per day during travel to a maximum of \$68 per day with
receipts. If necessary, employer will reimburse worker within first pay
period for approved cost of meals and lodging at the applicable exchange
rate, not to exceed reasonable costs. Receipts must be submitted.
The employer will reimburse H-2B workers in the first workweek for all
visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees,
including those mandated by the government (excluding passport fees).
The employer will provide worker at no charge all tools, supplies, and
equipment required to perform job.
The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least
three-fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total
employment period.
