Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Estimator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately estimating project costs, reviewing construction drawings, and preparing comprehensive bids for commercial construction projects. Your expertise will help ensure project profitability while maintaining competitive pricing and strong client relationships.
Duties
- Review and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications to accurately estimate material requirements and labor costs
- Utilize estimating software and other construction management tools to prepare detailed project bids
- Collaborate with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers through clear, effective communication to build strong relationships and support successful project outcomes
- Develop project budgets by analyzing material costs, labor estimates, equipment needs, and overhead expenses
- Manage multiple estimating projects simultaneously while ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines
- Maintain organized records of all estimates, bid proposals, and related documentation for future reference
Experience
- Proven experience managing projects as a construction estimator within the commercial construction industry
- Strong proficiency with Sage Estimating, eTakeoff and Bluebeam software
- Extensive knowledge of construction industry standards and the ability to review and interpret construction documents, drawings, and specifications
- Demonstrated ability in cost management, cost control, and estimating material requirements from construction documents
- Solid understanding of construction site operations and project management principles
- Experience in concrete estimating for large-scale commercial projects with an emphasis on accuracy and detail-oriented work
