Job Summary
Jefferson Community and Technical College is seeking a full-time Economics Instructor. This position will be responsible for full-time instruction in Economics, both online and in the classroom. This position may teach on multiple JCTC campuses.
Job Duties:
Other duties include but are not limited to:
- Use Blackboard Ultra for communication and feedback
- Prepares and delivers learning activities to achieve course outcomes
- Evaluate and grade students’ class work, papers, and examinations with feedback as needed.
- Maintain and submit students’ attendance records, grades, and other requested documentation by specified deadlines.
- Maintain required office hours for mentoring and coaching students, success and retention activities
- Meet as needed with supervisors, division, or College, relative to teaching duties and training and development.
- Engage in academic advising
- Participate in course and curriculum development
- Participate in Internal and external community service
- Participate in educational leadership and professional development
Minimum Qualifications:
Master of Economics or Masters and 18 graduate hours in Economics.
Preferred Qualifications:
Teaching experience at the college level and online teaching experience preferred. Relevant professional experience is preferred.
