Production Manager
We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to direct and coordinate all production activities at a long-standing food manufacturing company! Reporting to the Plant Manager, this role will be responsible for supervising the receiving, batching, storage, filling, and packaging of all products produced at the facility.
Location: Watertown, NY region. Relocation assistance may be provided for the right candidate.
Job Responsibilities:
- Coordinating all activities involved with the scheduling and allocation of resources necessary to produce all finished products.
- Ensure all products produced meet all quality specifications.
- Hire, train, and manage personnel in accordance with essential duties of all managed job roles and in accordance with company culture.
- Ensure all company and OSHA safety requirements are met and maintained.
- Work closely with other department managers to maximize efficiency of the operation.
- Operate the department within financial constraints of planned budget.
- Plan production operations, establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products.
- Prepare operational schedules and coordinate manufacturing activities to ensure production and quality of products meets specifications.
- Review production and operating reports and resolve operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays
- Inspect machines and equipment to ensure specific operational performance and optimum utilization
- Develop or revise standard operational and working practices and observe workers to ensure compliance with standards
- Resolve worker grievances or submit unsettled grievances to Production Superintendent for action.
- Compiles, stores, and retrieves production data.
- Monitor suppliers to ensure that they efficiently and effectively provide needed goods or services within budgetary limits.
Required Skills/Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree preferred
- 5 years of experience in a fast paced/high volume Food and Beverage manufacturing environment
- Experience managing 24/7 manufacturing operations
- Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
- Proven leadership experience in manufacturing operations
- Microsoft Office Suite experience
Salary : $103,000 - $120,000
