We are partnering with a growing aseptic manufacturer in the Central New York area that is looking for a hands on, visible Plant Manager for a state of the art facility. This role will have full responsibility for site operations, including production, maintenance, quality, safety, staffing, and continuous improvement. The Plant Manager will play a critical role in mentoring management, establishing operational goals, and ensuring the facility operates efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of safety and product quality.
Location: Syracuse, NY area
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate the day to day manufacturing operations
- Oversee staffing, hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management
- Establish and execute production schedules to meet customer demand and operational goals
- Drive productivity improvements, cost reductions, and operational efficiencies
- Develop and enforce plant policies, SOPs, and performance standards
- Ensure compliance with all food safety, quality, and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with engineering and maintenance to support utilities, refrigeration, wastewater, preventive maintenance, and capital projects
- Manage annual operating budgets and control departmental expenses
- Maintain a strong presence on the production floor to support and engage employees
- Partner with quality and engineering to investigate customer and consumer complaints
- Build relationships with regulatory agencies, vendors, and suppliers
- Support ongoing employee development and leadership training initiatives
- Participate in off-shift and weekend activities as needed to support plant operations and food safety programs
Required Qualifications
- Aseptic manufacturing experience is required
- 5 years of Plant Manager or senior manufacturing leadership experience in manufacturing is required
- Must have a hands-on approach to leadership, visible leader
- Proven ability to lead large teams in a fast-paced, highly regulated manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of sanitation, allergen control, and regulatory compliance
- Experience managing budgets, capital projects, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Bachelor’s degree is ideal
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and related operational software tools
Salary : $135,000 - $200,000
