- This position is a Survey Party Chief which requires 4 - 8 years of experience supervising a survey field crew performing boundary and topographic surveys, construction stakeout, monitoring and as-built surveys.
- Must have the ability to manage a crew of surveyors in the field.
- Must have the ability to operate robotic total stations, electronic data collectors and RTK GPS equipment.
- Must have excellent math skills and be able to perform survey calculations in the field.
- Must have ability to interpret design plans and understand as-built drawings and roadway plans.
- Must have ability to create legible field sketches.
- A valid current driver’s license
- Ability to follow instructions, training and mentoring crews with a positive can-do attitude are necessities.
- Must possess leadership and mentoring skills.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds, walk for extended periods, work in all weather conditions, willing to work evenings/weekends when required, willing to travel for overnight and extended stay projects as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Minimum of 4 - 8 years of experience.
- Pre-employment drug screening and background check are conditions of employment. Motor vehicle checks may be required based upon position.
