Duties, Responsibilities & Other
- Interface between users and project managers bridging the gap between technology and business stakeholders
- Perform detailed requirements analysis and the documentation of business processes, test cases and user stories.
- Participate in testing and validating new systems and processes to meet business requirements
- Identify and prioritize technical and functional requirements
- Engage with stakeholders and users to understand how data-driven changes to processes, products, services, software, and hardware can improve efficiencies and add value
- Develop and document business process models to illustrate current and future states and optimization strategies
- Propose and evaluate solutions to determine what is technologically feasible and financially and functionally reasonable
- Stay current on the latest process and technology advancements to automate and modernize systems
- Work efficiently in a team setting on projects to successful completion
- Exercise judgement in developing and implementing methods and techniques to obtain desired results following industry best practices
- Deliver services within the allocated budget
- Develop functional and technical documentation
- Regularly interact and build relationships with team members, managers, customers, and business partners including
- Support development of proposals in response to Request for Proposals (RFPs)
- Support business development and marketing initiatives by meeting with customers and prospective customers, attending industry events, and giving presentations
- Comply with all KCI policies and procedures
- Complete other duties as required/assigned
Specialized Experience:
- IIBA Certified Business Analysis Professional or PMI Professional in Business Analytics certification is preferred
- Experience in transportation, utilities, water, and state/local government markets is preferred
- Experience delivering solutions on a team using Agile framework approach is preferred
- Experience serving as a team member providing technology consulting services is preferred
- Knowledge of geospatial concepts and Esri solutions is required
- Experience working in Virginia is required
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field is required. Experience may be substituted for degree.
- Minimum three years of experience as a Business Analyst or similar role
- IIBA Certified Business Analysis Professional or PMI Professional in Business Analytics certification is preferred
- Experience in utilities, facilities, transportation, water, and/or state/local government markets is preferred
- Pre-employment drug screening is a condition of employment. Background and motor vehicle checks may be required based upon position.
