Responsibilities:
- Operate 3D laser scanning equipment (Leica BLK360, RTC360, or similar) to capture detailed as-built data from the field
- Set up, calibrate, and maintain scanning gear in field environments
- Collaborate with project managers and technical teams to ensure accurate data collection
- Travel extensively (majority of the time) to job sites nationwide
- Manage field logistics and maintain project documentation
- Back at the office, 3D modeling from laser scans obtained from field to produce Revit models to support engineering design efforts. Modeling of fire sprinkler systems, fire alarm systems, and other building elements. Training will be provided on these skills.
- Associates in CAD, Engineering, or Surveying
- Familiarity with Autodesk Revit/AutoCAD and 3D modeling
- Experience with 3D laser scanning or surveying workflows
- Familiarity with point cloud data and associated software
- Comfortable with using a PC on a daily basis
- Surveying background or certification a plus
- Comfortable working independently in the field and in various site conditions
- Valid driver’s license
Essential Duties and Responsibilities are the basic job functions that an employee must be able to perform, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- High School Diploma/GED
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong knowledge and proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Understanding of drafting fundamentals is preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft Suite; Photoshop and Google Earth are a plus.
