Duties, Responsibilities & Other:
We’re looking for a motivated and detail-oriented 3D Laser Scanning Operator to join our growing survey team. If you have experience—or a strong interest—in high-resolution 3D scanning and LiDAR technology, we want to hear from you! You'll work with industry-leading equipment like the Leica RTC360, P40, and NavVis systems to support exciting, hands-on projects across the country.
Responsibilities:
- Operate 3D laser scanning equipment (Leica RTC360, P40, NavVis, or similar) to capture detailed as-built data
- Set up, calibrate, and maintain scanning gear in field environments
- Collaborate with project managers and technical teams to ensure accurate data collection
- Travel extensively (majority of the time) to job sites nationwide
- Manage field logistics and maintain project documentation
- Traditional Surveying when not on a scanning project
- Carry out a range of surveying assignments while learning the methods of survey data collection
- Assist Party Chief as directed
- Maintain survey equipment
- Accurately record and report daily forms per project requirements.
- Adhere to project scope, schedule, and budget
- Review all work assigned before beginning and ensure all tasks are performed according to applicable industry standards and client requirements.
- Inspect and correct work for completeness and accuracy before submission
- Understand and follow OSHA Safety Standards and KCI corporate policies at all times
- Participate in cross-training as requested to enhance team capabilities
- Work collaboratively with your team to maximize production and accuracy
- Submit accurate time sheets, mileage, and expense reports on time each week
- Perform other duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with 3D laser scanning or surveying workflows
- Familiarity with point cloud data and associated software
- Comfortable with using a PC on a daily basis
- Surveying background or certification a plus
- Comfortable working independently in the field and in various site conditions
- Valid driver’s license

Education and/or Skills Required:
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience
- Highschool Diploma/GED
Certificates, licenses, and/or Registrations Required:
- Valid Driver’s License
- Ability to maintain required certifications.
