Responsibilities:
- Product Design: Design, analyze, and optimize commercial HVAC systems and components related to assembly, operation, and performance.
- Product Support: Support Production, Sales, Applications, and Field Support teams in the operation of the product (product life cycle).
- Develop Solutions: Engage with critical/high priority Engineering projects. Conduct product testing, troubleshooting, and implementation of changes.
- Engineer to Order: Analyze custom requests and develop unique solutions to customers.
- Vendor Relations: Collaborate with suppliers/vendors on the design of new and alternative components.
- Continuous Improvement: Initiate continuous improvements for new and existing products, systems, and methods to improve performance, cost efficiency and reliability.
- Specification and Regulatory Analysis: Analyze test results and implement appropriate changes to ensure products meet technical and functional requirements.
- Documentation: Work with Sales, Production, and other engineering staff to help create and maintain sales documentation.
- Ensure Accuracy: Provide clear, concise, and accurate information to all relevant internal and external customers.
- Continuous Education: Maintain a working understanding of applicable industry standards (ASHRAE, AHRI, ANSI, etc.).
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, or equivalent related experience
- Software Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Suite
- Technical Skills: Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Mechanical Skills: Strong hands-on/mechanical aptitude.
- Interpersonal Skills: Excellent personal interaction skills.
- Time Management: Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
