Who are we hiring?

The Soccer Programming Coordinator plays a critical role in delivering world-class soccer experiences within the Kansas City Current ecosystem. This position is responsible for managing the logistics, operations, and execution of all hosted and visiting teams. This includes NWSL teams, youth clubs and tournaments, international clubs, and national federations.

This role requires extreme organization, logistics management and forward planning. The Soccer Programming Coordinator will serve as the primary operational liaison for all visiting NWSL teams, hosted KC Current tournaments, visiting international clubs and ensure seamless execution of all subsequent event logistics.

What will you do?

• Serve as the primary liaison for visiting NWSL teams, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with visiting teams to manage arrivals, accommodations, training venues, and all match day logistics.
• Coordinate with internal departments (e.g., venue operations, grounds, security, etc.) to ensure seamless execution of tournaments and match days.
• Develop and maintain detailed event schedules, match coordination plans, and timelines.
• Support the planning, organization, and execution of KC Current-hosted tournaments, including but not limited to the Teal Rising Cup, youth programming and hosted showcases.
• Oversee event-day operations for visiting NWSL teams, youth showcases, and professional tournaments hosted by KC Current.
• Proactively identify and resolve logistical challenges with professionalism, efficiency, and composure.
• Other duties as assigned.
  
  

What do you need to succeed?

• Experience in event operations, logistics, or team services within sports, preferably soccer.
• Strong organizational and project management skills with proven ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-pressure environments while maintaining attention to detail.
• Interpersonal and communication abilities, both written and verbal.
• Ability to anticipate needs and proactively solve problems with a solutions-oriented mindset.
• A passion for delivering high-level team and fan experiences in a dynamic environment.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, inclusive of weekends, nights (event evenings & overnight operation shifts) and holidays.
  
  

Preferred

• Ability to monitor company communications and respond to time-sensitive matters with senior executives.
• Must be able to stand, walk, and move around the venue for extended periods of time, often during events or facility setup and breakdown.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds as needed for event setup, equipment management, or assisting with operational needs.
• Requires occasional bending, squatting, and reaching overhead to handle various tasks related to facility management, equipment, and event preparation.
• Must be capable of working in physically demanding environments, including navigating stairs, ramps, and elevated platforms during venue conversions.
• Ability to work outdoors continuously for extended periods of time in all weather conditions
