What are the responsibilities and job description for the Concrete Foreman position at KC Concrete Company?
We are looking to hire an experienced concrete Foreman who can expertly pour, level, and smooth concrete on a variety of surfaces including roads, sidewalks, curbs, and floors. The foreman will lead a crew and need to speak both Spanish and English fluently. Foreman is expected to have knowledge of local concrete standards and procedures.
Concrete Foreman Responsibilities:
- Leader on site directing crew, and communicating with customers as necessary
- Layout and verifying dimensions for panels and slabs per plans
- Expert in forming flatwork, ensuring forms are straight and grade is set correctly.
- Collaborate with the General Manager on daily job needs.
- Provides solutions should adjustments need to be made during construction
- Monitoring the effects of the weather on the curing process.
- Cleaning and inspecting surfaces for pouring issues.
- Directing the casting of the concrete with the truck driver.
- Pouring, smoothing, and leveling concrete using a rake, trowel, float, and screed. This includes handheld tools and power tool versions.
- Monitoring the effects of the weather on the curing process.
- Molding and constructing expansion joints using joiners and edging tools.
Concrete Foreman Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years experience leading concrete crews
- Minimum 5 years work experience as a concrete laborer or mason.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English
- High school diploma.
- Driver's License
- Ability to stand for long periods.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and work long hours.
- Able to work shifts, at night and on public holidays as required.
Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
