As a part-time Logistics Specialist , you'll play a key role in managing freight planning and customer service during weekend hours. This is a great opportunity for candidates in Green Bay, Atlanta, or Wichita who are either new to logistics or looking to expand their experience in a dynamic, remote environment.
As a Logistics Specialist on our Support Shift, you'll be responsible for executing key transportation and logistics processes that keep freight moving efficiently. This includes planning shipments, communicating with carriers and customers, resolving unexpected issues, and ensuring compliance with regulations. Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and a high level of professionalism - all within a fast-paced, remote weekend environment.
Hours: Saturday and Sunday, 0600-1600 Central Time
Location : Remote (Green Bay, WI; Atlanta, GA; Wichita KS)

What You Will Do
- Plan freight: Coordinate transportation for a variety of customer accounts, ensuring freight is scheduled to meet service expectations
- Build relationships: Foster strong, collaborative connections with internal teams, external customers, and carrier partners
- Analyze market data: Monitor and interpret market trends to inform planning and decision-making
- Solve problems: Use critical thinking to resolve unexpected issues with carriers or customers, aiming for mutually beneficial outcomes and reduced accessorial charges
- Ensure compliance : Understand and facilitate compliance with all state and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations
- Identify process improvements: Drive efficiency by using system tools to identify opportunities for cost savings, service improvements, and capacity optimization
- High School Diploma (or equivalent) or professional work experience
- Experience using Microsoft Office programs such as Word to write business correspondence, Excel for use of spreadsheets, reporting and simple formulas, and Outlook for internal and external correspondence
- Experience dispatching or planning in the Transportation/Logistics industry
