Key Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606 (US GAAP)
- Prepare and post complex revenue and commission journal entries
- Own the end-to-end revenue lifecycle, including cross-system reconciliation and exception resolution
- Lead month-end close activities: accruals, reconciliations, variance analysis, and reporting
- Perform and enhance inventory reconciliations, identifying discrepancies and improving controls
- Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Operations, and IT to resolve issues and improve processes
- Develop and maintain reporting models using Excel and Power Query
- Drive process improvements and automation initiatives across revenue accounting
- Support internal and external audits, including documentation and control ownership
- Provide insights and analysis to support business and financial decision-making
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to team development
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5 years of experience in revenue accounting, inventory, or reconciliations
- Public company experience required
- Strong knowledge of ASC 606 (revenue recognition)
- Advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, XLOOKUP, complex formulas)
- SAP experience highly preferred
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally
- Background working with multiple systems and large data sets
- Experience in process improvement and automation initiatives
