Business Controller

KBW is exclusively partnered with a well-established, growing company in the Bangor area that is seeking an experienced Controller/Sr Director of Finance to lead its finance and accounting function. This is a highly visible leadership role responsible for financial reporting, FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, and providing strategic financial guidance to business leaders.

Responsibilities

• Lead all accounting and finance activities, including monthly financial reporting and analysis
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business decisions
• Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and drive profitability improvements
• Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs)
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and maintain effective internal controls
• Identify process improvements and operational efficiencies
• Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team
• Support internal and external audit activities
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 10 years of progressive accounting and finance experience
• 5 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
• Strong FP&A, financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting experience
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems
• Strong analytical, communication, and leadership abilities
• CPA and/or MBA preferred
