This role supports full-cycle accounting operations, GAAP-compliant financial reporting, audit preparation, and grant-related fiscal oversight within a values-driven environment.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and post month-end and year-end journal entries, allocations, and accruals in accordance with GAAP Perform balance sheet reconciliations and maintain integrity of the general ledger Support daily cash activity, internal transfers, and cash flow projections Assist in annual budget development and monthly variance analysis Prepare audit workpapers and respond to auditor requests Maintain internal controls and recommend process improvements Support federal indirect cost rate calculations and cost allocation methodologies Provide ad hoc financial analysis and reporting to support decision-making Core CompetenciesStrong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and audit readiness Knowledge of 2 CFR 200 (Uniform Guidance) and grant compliance preferredAbility to maintain strong internal controls and risk management practices High attention to detail and commitment to data integrity Ability to communicate financial concepts clearly to non-finance stakeholders Continuous improvement mindset with systems proficiency (ERP experience preferred) QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or related field 10 years of accounting experience in financial reporting, auditing, or bookkeeping Strong knowledge of GAAP and government accounting principles Excellent communication and organizational skills Nonprofit accounting experience (federal, state, or foundation grants) This is an excellent opportunity for a senior-level accounting professional seeking to contribute within a collaborative, mission-focused environment.
