Furniture Receiving & Warehouse Specialist
Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 8:30 AM–5:30 PM
KBK to the Trade is a long-established interior design showroom specializing in high-end furnishings and luxury products. For more than 40 years, our reputation has been built around exceptional service, strong vendor relationships, teamwork, and careful attention to the products entrusted to us.
We are adding a Furniture Receiving & Warehouse Specialist to our White Glove Receiving & Delivery team.
This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys physical work, takes pride in handling furniture correctly, and works well as part of a team. Our warehouse operation is different from a traditional forklift-driven warehouse. Furniture is moved primarily by hand and with furniture-moving equipment, so strength, stamina, good judgment, and teamwork are essential.
What You’ll Do
Receive Furniture Unload incoming furniture shipments by hand and confirm pieces against shipping documentation.
Handle Large & Heavy Pieces Work with teammates to safely move sofas, dining tables, cabinets, wardrobes, chairs, and other oversized furnishings.
Protect High-End Furniture Inspect incoming pieces for visible damage or defects and carefully wrap, pad, and prepare furniture to protect it while in our care.
Move Furniture Safely Use furniture dollies, hand trucks, four-wheelers, and other appropriate moving equipment throughout the warehouse.
Prepare for Deliveries Help organize, stage, and prepare furniture for upcoming white-glove deliveries.
Support Vehicle Staging Assist with moving and positioning company delivery vehicles around the loading and staging areas when needed.
Maintain the Warehouse Keep receiving and storage areas organized, clean, and free of hazards so furniture can be moved efficiently and safely.
The Physical Side of This Job
Applicants should understand that this is a physically demanding furniture-handling position.
You must be comfortable routinely lifting, pushing, pulling, carrying, and maneuvering furniture weighing approximately 75–150 lbs. with appropriate team assistance.
Safe lifting and communication between coworkers are extremely important. We expect team members to use proper lifting techniques and team-lift procedures rather than taking unnecessary risks with themselves, their coworkers, or the furniture.

· Dependable transportation and reliable attendance
· The physical stamina required for furniture moving and handling
· Good verbal communication skills
· Strong awareness of workplace and lifting safety
· The ability to follow instructions and work cooperatively with a team
· Respect for high-quality furniture and customers’ property
Experience We’d Especially Value
Previous experience in any of the following would be helpful:
· Professional furniture moving
· Furniture or appliance delivery
· White-glove delivery
· Furniture retail or warehouse operations
· Residential moving services
· Handling delicate or high-value merchandise
Experience with furniture deluxing, touch-ups, or minor furniture repairs is an additional plus. Furniture technicians are encouraged to apply.

We’re looking for someone who understands that moving a piece of fine furniture isn’t simply about getting it from one place to another—it’s about getting it there safely, carefully, and in excellent condition.
