Role Description The Affordable Housing Project Manager is a full-time role based in Columbus, OH, with some flexibility for work from home. This role oversees affordable housing development projects from initial planning through completion, including budgeting, scheduling, and quality control. Day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating with architects, contractors, local agencies, and community stakeholders; managing permitting and inspections; and ensuring compliance with applicable housing regulations and funding requirements. The Project Manager will monitor project timelines, identify and resolve issues that could delay progress, and regularly report on project status to leadership. The role also involves reviewing contracts and proposals, tracking logistics and material deliveries, and supporting initiatives that align projects with KBK Enterprises’ mission of community transformation.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess skills related to Expeditor and Expediting to effectively coordinate materials, permits, and documentation for timely project delivery.
- Candidates should possess strong Project Management skills, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and stakeholder communication.
- Candidates should possess skills in Inspection to oversee construction quality, compliance with codes, and adherence to project specifications.
- Candidates should possess Logistics Management skills to manage supply chains, deliveries, and on-site resource allocation.
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, urban planning, real estate development, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Demonstrated experience managing affordable housing, multifamily, or community development projects.
- Knowledge of local building codes, permitting processes, and affordable housing funding programs (e.g., LIHTC or similar initiatives) is beneficial.
