KBest Media is seeking a dynamic Sports Broadcaster to cover Howard College Men’s & Women’s Basketball, as well as Baseball and Softball throughout the 2026 season. This is a contract-based opportunity ideal for passionate storytellers who thrive in live sports environments and want to bring the excitement of Howard College athletics to our audience.
Responsibilities
- Provide live play-by-play coverage for Howard College basketball, baseball, and softball games.
- Deliver engaging commentary that informs and entertains listeners.
- Collaborate with production staff to ensure smooth broadcasts.
- Represent KBest Media and Howard College with professionalism on and off the air.
- Travel with teams as required (transportation provided by Howard College).
Qualifications
- Prior experience in sports broadcasting or play-by-play announcing preferred.
- Strong knowledge of basketball, baseball, and softball rules and terminology.
- Excellent verbal communication and storytelling skills.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and travel during the season.
- Professional presence and ability to connect with local audiences.
Compensation
- Pay Rate: Per game worked.
- Travel: Provided by Howard College.
Pay: Up to $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8.0 per week
