Position Summary:

The production operator performs various duties associated with the assembly of switch machines along with sub assemblies involving numerous tools and presses with the assistance of prints and work instructions.

Essential Functions:

• Utilize and interpret engineering mechanical schematics, plans, and prints to assemble and wire railroad products for railroad signalling.
• Work from complex written instructions, drawings, and /or documentation to determine methods of mechanical builds
• Strong attention to details.
• Work as an effective team member focused on meeting/exceeding business goals and creating a safe working environment and culture.
• Use hand tools, torque tools, rivoters, drill presses, hand presses, overhead cranes, and power tools to perform work.
• Work with certain chemicals: rust veto, grease, lubricating oil, and loctite
• Proactively work with others to increase productivity and reduce cost.
• Meet/exceed department metrics to include; efficiency, utilization rates, DPMO (Defects per Million Opportunities)

• Previous printed circuit board assembly experience
• Basic math skills to including; addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Required Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent

Position Requirements:

The anticipated wage scale for candidates who will work in Warrensburg, MO is $19.00 per hour during training and after 90 days of employment increases to $19.47 per hour. The final pay offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of experience within the job, the type of years and experience within the industry and education. KB Signaling is a multi-state employer, and this pay scale may not reflect positions that work in other states or locations. Provided they meet all eligibility requirements under the applicable plan documents, employees (and their eligible dependents) will be eligible to enroll in group healthcare plans that offer medical, dental, vision, and basic life and disability insurance. Employees also will be able to enroll in our company’s 401k plan. Employees will also receive 80 hours of vacation leave and 40 hours of Personal Paid Absence every year. Employees will also enjoy 10 paid holidays, and 2 personal holidays throughout the calendar year, subject to relevant terms outlined in the employee handbook. 6 weeks of paid parental leave will also be available for use.
