In this newly created role, as Assistant Controller, you’ll report directly to the Controller with a dotted line to the CFO. You’ll play a key role in strengthening accounting operations, improving financial reporting, and helping drive process improvements across the organization.
What You Will Do:
- Lead ongoing optimization and enhancement of the company’s new ERP system, Sage Intacct
- Help streamline and shorten the month-end close process
- Coordinate and support external audits
- Assist with preparation of tax returns
- Improve the accuracy, efficiency, and usefulness of financial reporting
- Partner with senior leadership to support financial performance and strategic initiatives
- Manage and mentor a small accounting team
- Take on special projects and additional responsibilities as assigned by the Controller and CFO
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to turn data into actionable insights
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel
- Experience working with multi-entity integrated accounting systems
- Solid understanding of the full accounting cycle
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
- CPA preferred
- 5 years of progressive accounting experience
- 3 years of leadership or management experience
- Experience working within companies generating at least $50M–$100M in revenue
