JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for management of the sales team in the Los Angeles/ Ventura division. Position priorities include achieving sales results while ensuring all company's processes are followed and customer service standards are achieved. Additional responsibilities include recruiting, training, retaining and developing talented sales counselors.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Drive and Achieve Sales Goals - Daily interaction with sales representatives to achieve sales goals that are set by senior leadership. Ensure all sales counselors are using Company's KB Edge Business Model, specifically our Structured Selling Process and digitized tracking tools such as C3. Troubleshoot solutions with Sales Representatives on difficult sales negotiations. Creatively work with Sales Representatives to find ways to drive their own traffic.
  • Sales Analysis & Processes - Work with Sales Representatives to collect and utilize competitor and market analysis to increase sales. Work to increase the Realtor Broker Outreach program. Work with all functional departments to achieve sales and overall business goals.
  • Performance Management - Assist (or lead depending on size and volume of the department) with recruiting, selection, training and retention of sales representatives. Provide proper feedback and coaching on sales scorecard metrics. Identify performance gaps and offer solutions to narrow the gap. Ensure all required training is complete, performance reviews are conducted and bench players are placed on active Development Plans.
  • CSI/AvidCX - Ensure 100% customer satisfaction through excellent execution of the KB Edge business model. Ensure all CSI and AvidCX standards are followed. Work with sales representatives and customers to resolve any customer service related issues in a timely fashion. Ensure all prospects and existing customers are called on a regular basis.

Education/Experience/Minimum Requirements

Education

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required
  • Four Year College Degree preferred
  • Valid California Real Estate License

Experience

  • 3 years proven sales experience
  • Prior management experience preferred
  • Home building or related industry preferred

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Action oriented, with the drive to push sales and marketing efforts to successful closure
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities including motivating teams, employee development, conflict management, and being results oriented
  • Ability to connect with people, and develop and maintain professional relationships
  • Understands market and industry trends
  • Proven ability of being customer centric by seeking solutions from the customer's perspective
  • Strong experience in delivering high quality customer service programs. Previous ERP database experience a plus!
  • Strong verbal & written communication, with the ability to take complex concepts and communicate accurately and persuasively
  • Proven ability to lead and execute effective training sessions or conduct strong oral presentations
  • Strong ability to work within a team-setting, inclusive of other's ideas, and a willingness to cooperate
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: The expected base salary range for this position is $135,000-145,000 per year depending on experience, paid semi-monthly.
  • Bonus: Positions are eligible for a discretionary bonus paid quarterly.
  • Benefits: Employee benefits available for this position include health care (medical, dental and vision) benefits, a 401(k) employee savings plan with Company match, vacation pay, paid sick days, and a monthly mobile phone stipend.

Work Requirements

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule on a consistent basis, including evenings, weekend and holidays
  • Travel 50% of the time to communities in the Los Angeles/Ventura area
  • Conduct business in a professional and ethical manner to potential buyers and external brokers to reinforce goodwill and profitability for the company
  • The ideal candidate must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.

  • Ability to move about work location
  • Ability to drive/travel as needed
  • Ability to walk up and down stairs
  • Ability to observe details at close range and communicate information so others will understand
  • Ability to transport and move up to 20 lbs and move as needed
