Overview
KB Components Dallas Inc, is a plastic injection molding company located in Arlington, Texas. The Tooling Technician will perform preventive and minor maintenance on plastic injection molds.
- 1st shift 6:00am-2:30PM Monday-Thursday. Friday 6:00am-12:00
- Mechanically inclined
- Ability to squad, kneel, bend, climb
- Ability to lift 70lbs and work in an industrial environment
- Machine shop experience and overhead crane experience
- Valid Drivers License with clean record required
We are seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Tooling Technician to join our manufacturing facility.
Duties
- Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and calibration of tooling equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are met.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues using schematics, technical manuals, and analysis skills.
- Operate precision measuring instruments such as ammeters, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools to diagnose equipment faults accurately.
- Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to document maintenance activities, track work orders, and manage spare parts inventory.
- Conduct repairs involving welding (including
welding), hydraulic systems, electrical components—including high voltage and low voltage circuits—and mechanical assemblies. - Collaborate with manufacturing teams to support production schedules by providing timely tooling support and adjustments.
- Assist in the installation of new tooling equipment and upgrades while adhering to safety protocols and schematics.
- Support field service activities when required, including troubleshooting on-site issues at various locations or customer sites.
Skills
- Proven experience working within a manufacturing facility environment with a strong understanding of industrial maintenance practices.
- Extensive knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), industrial electrician experience, and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Familiarity with CMMS software for maintenance management and documentation.
- Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by experience with hydraulics, HVAC/R systems, welding (including
welding), and industrial mechanics. - Ability to read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and mechanical drawings accurately.
- Experience working with high voltage and low voltage electrical systems safely in compliance with industry standards.
Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
