We are seeking an Parts Associate/Service Writer to join our team at Kaylor's Marine Service, Inc. In this role, you will support the daily operations of our dealership while ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. Your contributions will help us maintain our reputation as a trusted provider in the marine industry.
Responsibilities
- Assist in managing daily operations to ensure smooth functioning of the dealership.
- Support sales staff in providing excellent customer service and product knowledge.
- Oversee inventory and assist with procurement processes.
- Help develop strategies to improve sales performance and customer satisfaction.
- Coordinate with service manager to ensure parts are available for timely repairs and maintenance.
- Write a complete and detailed service order when customers bring their boat/engine in to be repaired
Requirements
- Proven experience in a retail or dealership environment, preferably in marine or automotive sectors.
- Ability to keep inventory levels in place for our service department and over the counter sales.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with order management systems is a plus
- Ability to listen to a customer's maintenance issues and then create a service order that tells the technician what to do.
