Duration: 06 Months Plus
Hybrid, 2 days on site the rest remote.
Description:
MWD currently has a temporary opening for an Employee Relations Specialist(ER Specialist) for our Human Resources Department at our Headquarters downtown Los Angeles. This is a 44/36 with every other Friday off. Our office hours begin at 7:00am - 4:30pm. Position will require 2 days in the office and some driving to local locations.
We’re in search of an ER Specialist who’s experienced and use excellent judgment in interpreting and adapting guidelines such as policies, regulations, precedents, and work directions for specific cases or problems based on analysis of the subject and course of action selected from various alternatives. The ER Specialist will conduct their daily business in a professional manner with internal and external Legal counsel teams.
Additional responsibilities include researching assigned aspects of law and arbitral precedent related to contract proposals, grievance cases matters and may presents case information in administrative forums or related hearings. Prepares graphs, charts, tables, and summarizes the economic implications of management and labor contract proposals.
Desires Experience Below:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and four years relevant experience.
- Required Knowledge of: Labor relations and Human Resources Principles
- Maintains confidentiality
- Lead investigations
- Advance MSOffice and Ad Administrative duties
- Know and understand CBA laws, Rules, and regulations
- Experience working in a union environment
- Personable, Flexible and handle pressure zones well.
- Detail orient, organized, multi task, strong written and verbal communication skills a must.
- Valid California Class C Driver License that allows you to drive in the course of your employment.
