Summary: Performs data entry of all charges for procedures and office visits by the Physician from patients at checkout by performing the following duties.
This position requires rotation to our different offices within Bergen County on an as needed basis. Examples are Paramus, Glen Rock, Franklin Lakes, Westwood, Ramsey and Montvale.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Serving as a main point of contact for the provider(s)
- Assist in scheduling and organizing all appointments after visit with providers, including:
- In/out-house diagnostic imaging (MRI/DEXA/US/CT scan/etc) confirm with patient if they have an implant before scheduling
- Schedule injections (HA/Osteoporosis tx/ Injs under Fluoro)
- Prior authorization (Evicore)
- FU/NP/WC/MVA/SF/REHAB/Test results/Orthotic pick-up
- Ensure CFOs were delivered to the correct location-POD
- Attach Test results -always (all schedules)
- Schedule internal specialties referrals (always ensure on is on file)
- Assign PT/Chiro/OT/Massage referrals to correct KMG facility (adding number of visits/endure diagnosis is attached)
- Fax PT/Chiro/OT/Massage referrals to outside facilities (information required: number of visits/ensure diagnosis is attached/facility name and fax number)
- Providerflow
- Obtain PT progress reports (action will be assigned to PCC by MAs/surgical Team)
- Create notes (excuse from school/work)
- Consents:
- Surgical consents (ensure it is in the patients chart)
- Orthotic consents
- Orthotics pick-up consent
- Forms:
- Synergy forms (attach demo/visit note/diagnosis codes/pt’s signature)
- ERMI forms (attach demo/visit note/diagnosis codes/pt’s signature)
- Specialty notes:
- New patients Rheum script
- Rheum cancellation note
- Bone Health script *Schedules o Monitor provider (s) schedule-daily/weekly
- Add/Remove banners/blocks o Add banners if PA is assisting the provider
- Email the staff about schedule availability (always) (Team-FD/PCC/CC/OS) o Email the staff about adding working days on the schedule (to confirm support).
- Coordinate block time with surgical team.
- Schedule incoming referrals (from therapists/attorneys/doctors/etc) (MVA/WC/SF/NPs)
- Contact patients from ZocDoc/Deardoc-RHEUM
- Retrieve records- (from outside providers before visit)-RHEUM
- Run cancellation report (weekly)-RHEUM
- Confirm appointments (2 weeks prior)-RHEUM
- Phones (10 calls per day)
- Assist the Team when one member is on PTO/OUT
- Jellybeans
- Address jellies before end of the shift
- Clean working area (before/end of the shift)

Education/Experience:
Previous medical office experience, Orthopedic experience is a plus.
Language Ability:
Bilingual - Spanish is preferred.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
