KAYAK is seeking an Engineer to join our diverse and dynamic Email Marketing Team. In this role, you’ll collaborate with engineers, product managers, and marketing specialists to design and scale a world-class marketing platform. You’ll help build and optimize systems that deliver personalized, meaningful messages to millions of users—encouraging engagement and keeping KAYAK top-of-mind for travelers.
Note: This is a hybrid work role for candidates who can join at least 3 days per week in-office.

In This Role, You Will
- Develop and improve backend services handling large-scale messaging
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve problems and build features
- Debug and optimize full-stack solutions
- Manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing needs
- Collaborate with colleagues from globally distributed teams
- Bachelors or higher in Computer Science or a related field
- Strong proven programming skills in Java
- Experience with APIs, SQL.
- Experience with JavaScript, React,HTML and CSS is a plus
- A collaborative mindset and openness to learning and sharing ideas
- Work from (almost) anywhere for up to 20 days per year
