Part-time Kayak Guide

Kayak guides start at a MINIMUM $25/HOUR PLUS TIPS! Very regularly Kayak Guides earn $40 to $50/hour while on tour including tips! AND IT'S A FUN JOB!

Kayak Hilton Head is currently hiring for a fill-in kayak guide. We are looking for someone with a flexible schedule that has kayak and guiding experience that would like to do just a few tours per week to give the regular staff a break when needed. Often our regular guides start this way as a lead-in to a more steady schedule with us. We run tours daily at 8am, 10:45, 2:30 and 5:45pm. It's a fun job with a fun crew and a great way to earn a little spending money doing something you'll enjoy. If you have prior guiding experience, training will likely be minimal. If you regularly spend your own time around the water kayaking, fishing, or just enjoying being outdoors you can make money doing the things you love. We have a happy friendly staff as we do our best to make employment with us laid back and fun and the guides report making very good tip money along with good hourly pay.

If you live on Hilton Head or live close by the bridge just into Bluffton, we are pretty sure you will enjoy working with us. Over the years I can't remember a staff member ever leaving us to go work for another similar company but we have hired many new employees over the years that have left other similar jobs after friends have told them about the fun and relaxed atmosphere here at Kayak Hilton Head. If your an experienced guide that just needs a change of scenery it's worth inquiring with us.

Come to work on-time, have a smile on your face and positive attitude and you will fit right in with the rest of the staff. If you have past guiding experience but are really only looking to do a few tours per week we may have a spot for you. Kayak guides often have food and beverage jobs at night and work for us part time in the mornings or have day jobs and do a few tours for us in the evenings or weekends.

It is best that you live on Hilton Head or relatively close to the bridge. This job really doesn't work out well if you live too far from Hilton Head because there are some on-call aspects to the job and being close by makes this much easier and more relaxing.
