We are seeking an experienced seamstress to join our small in-house team, specializing in bridal and formal gown alterations. While experience with wedding gown take-ins is ideal, we are willing to provide training. This role offers flexible scheduling with seasonal variability, providing more hours during the peak wedding season from May to November and fewer hours during the off-peak months. Reporting to the business owner, this position does not involve any off-site work and offers opportunities for skill development and potential full-time employment.
Responsibilities
- Perform bridal gown alterations
- Alter formal gowns with precision
- Execute hand sewing and machine sewing tasks
- Maintain high quality control standards
Preferred Qualifications
- 2 years of sewing and alterations experience
- Experience with wedding gown alterations
- Proficient in hand sewing and machine sewing
- Strong attention to detail
- Knowledge of different fabric types
