A well-established, very friendly family dental practice located in Huntington, NY seeks a hard-working and motivated DENTAL ASSISTANT to join our team immediately! Our dental practice is dedicated to providing high-quality comprehensive care in all modern phases of dentistry. We are a paperless office that is fully digital when it comes to all phases of dentistry.

Patient care hours per week:
Monday:
8:00am – 5:00pm
Tuesday
10:00pm – 7:00pm
Wednesday
9:00am - 3:00pm
Thursday
10:00am – 7:00pm
Friday
8:00am – 4:00pm
Saturday
8:00am – 1:00pm (one or two per month)
Looking for a full-time or dental assistant.
Job Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and bring them to treatment rooms
- Assist dentists during examination and treatment
- Taking digital x-rays
- Clean and disinfect treatment rooms between patients
- Prepare items for lab processing
- Maintain inventories of all dental supplies
- Using an intra-oral scanner (trios 3shape)
- Taking molds and making temporary crowns (will train)
- Ensure that all dental instruments are properly sterilized and maintained
- Empty garbage each evening, maintain entire office cleanliness
- Perform other related duties, as assigned by the dentist
Job Qualifications:
- An organized, reliable, professional person who enjoys working with patients
- Possesses excellent interpersonal skills
- Utilizes strong multitasking skills
- Has the ability to work quickly and efficiently
- Previous experience as a dental assistant is a plus
- 'Benefit Conditions:
- Personal protective equipment provided or required
- Temperature screenings
- Sanitizing, disinfecting, or cleaning procedures in place

- Assisting chair-side
- Taking records, digital impressions, or x-rays
- Using computers to update electronic patient records
- Assisting with lab tasks as needed
- Assisting with front office tasks as needed
