Kawasaki Tennessee, Inc. is seeking a hands-on Die Cast Engineer to support and improve our production operations.
This is not a sit-back engineering role. You’ll be working directly with equipment, production, and maintenance teams to troubleshoot issues, improve processes, and keep operations running efficiently. This is a day shift position.

🛠 Essential Job Duties
- Investigate and resolve machine and process issues
- Partner with Production & Maintenance to reduce downtime
- Troubleshoot equipment, controls, and quality concerns
- Interpret and modify machine & electrical drawings
- Support installation, setup, and equipment improvements
- Create and maintain procedures, PMs, and technical instructions
- Drive continuous improvement (cost savings, defect reduction, process upgrades)
- Analyze problems and implement long-term solutions
- Generate reports for troubleshooting and process development
- Support additional operational needs as required
📌 Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Associate’s Degree 5 years experience
- Ability to interpret drawings, dimensions, and tolerances
- Project management experience or exposure
- Strong communication skills
- Proven ability to work independently and within a team
⭐ Preferred Experience
- 3D Modeling / Drafting (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Inventor)
- Mechanical & electrical troubleshooting
- Hydraulics & pneumatics
- High-volume manufacturing
- Robotics, CNC systems, or automation
- Fabrication experience
📘 Qualifications
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, technical drawings, and procedure manuals
- Strong written and verbal communication skills across all levels of the organization
- Ability to calculate dimensions, tolerances, and proportions accurately
- Proven problem-solving skills in a variety of situations
- Ability to follow instructions in written, verbal, and diagram formats
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Good hand-eye coordination and ability to work around equipment
💪 Physical Requirements
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching
- Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs
- Regular interaction with production equipment
🔥 Work Environment
- Active manufacturing setting with moving machinery
- Exposure to heat (including molten aluminum)
- Moderate to loud noise levels (hearing protection required)
- PPE required at all times on production floor
