What are the responsibilities and job description for the Collections Manager position at Kawasaki Motors Retail Finance, LLC?
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead day-to-day collections operations across early, mid, and late-stage delinquency.
- Implement strategies to reduce delinquency and improve recovery rates.
- Monitor and report on key collections KPIs (e.g., roll rates, cure rates, recovery rates).
- Collaborate with repossession and remarketing teams to maximize asset recovery.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state collections regulations (e.g., FDCPA, UDAAP).
- Oversee and coach collections agents; conduct performance reviews.
- Optimize use of loan management systems (LOS) and collections platforms.
- Work with servicing, risk, and legal teams to refine collection workflows.
- Coordinate with external vendors (e.g., skip tracers, recovery agents).
- Prepare regular collections performance updates for senior leadership.
- Utilize Loan Management Systems (LMS) to process and manage funding transaction
- Interact with Management to make recommendations on credit strategies
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to knowledge-sharing sessions
- All other job duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in servicing operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to develop and implement effective processes and procedures.
- Experience with audit management and risk assessment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in statistical modeling, data analysis, or related roles.
- Familiarity with financial services and loan origination processes is preferred.
- Must be flexible to work extended hours, including evenings and weekends to meet demands of a fast-paced and evolving startup environment.
- This position requires adaptability, dependability and willingness to remain flexible.
Profile Differentiators:
- Experience in founding, co-founding or working in a fast-paced startup environment
- Experience in Powersports Finance Industry (motorcycle, ATVs UTVs, PWCs)
- Experience in a FinTech startup
Salary: $105,000-$115,000
