POSITION SUMMARY
Assists in activities involved with procuring goods and services such as raw materials, tools, repairs and supplies. Will monitor delivery of purchase orders, arrange special deliveries, and coordinate activities between suppliers as well as other departments and Kawasaki companies.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Follow all company Policies and Procedures, Quality and Environmental Management Systems (QMS & EMS), Kawasaki Production System (KPS) and any other legal and compliance regulations that may apply such as OSHA.
- Provide general administrative support to the Purchasing department.
- Assist in implementation and flow of departmental procedures.
- Process, record and maintain data including such information as price change approvals, certificate of origin and supplier quality requirements.
- Compile and prepare document and reports pertaining to the Purchasing department.
- Communicate with internal and external parties to answer questions, disseminate or explain information.
- Monitor orders, Advance Shipping Notices and Acknowledgements to verify goods arrive on time.
- Schedule or expedite deliveries, assist with quality support, resolve shortages, remedy late deliveries, and other recognized concerns or issues.
- Research delivery errors and make necessary corrections to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Review and maintain item information records, inventory, delivery data, and supplier details.
- Provide support on various projects and related tasks, suggest solutions and recommendations.
- Assist in the returns to the supplier.
- Assist with the movement of product by investigating and reporting options and initiate action according to customer needs.
Qualifications:
- Must provide a current resume
- Education/Experience: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) with a minimum six months in office environment or combination of education and experience.
- For current employees you must meet the following:
- Meet minimum qualifications stated on job description.
- In current position and shift for 90 days.
- Less than 3 instances for attendance.
- No performance issues or written warnings for disciplinary actions within past 6 months.
