What are the responsibilities and job description for the Portfolio Associate position at Kavar Capital Partners, LLC?
Job Summary:
The Portfolio Associate/Head Trader will perform all trade execution for the firm and support the Chief Investment Officer and Investment Committee in implementing Kavar’s investment strategy.
Job Responsibilities:
- Become proficient in Kavar’s portfolio management and trading systems;
- Execute and reconcile all daily trading activity;
- Rebalance client portfolios and identify tax related harvesting opportunities;
- Understand and implement the core components of the Kavar investment philosophy.
Experience/Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree;
- 2-4 years experience in wealth management, preferably with an RIA;
- Series 65 (or attained within 90 days);
- Strong technology aptitude, including MS Office suite;
- Experience with custodial trading platforms and/or Tamarac;
- Must be organized, detail-oriented and able to multitask;
- Desire and ability to work successfully in a small company environment.
