Collaborate closely with Purchasing Management, Regional Managers, and the Director of Supply Chain, and ensure seamless operations and optimal performance.
Responsibilities
- Oversee ERP and Demand Planning Software to enhance operational efficiency.
- Utilize historical data and collaboration with stakeholders to develop accurate statistical forecasts, implementing S&OP strategies at product family level.
- Manage vendor performance metrics including lead time, delivery accuracy, and order processing, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Optimize inventory balance by leveraging system data and demand drivers to meet market demand effectively.
- Provide strategic input and resupply models to buyers, facilitating informed purchasing decisions and monitoring line performance.
- Conduct inventory optimization and SKU rationalization to ensure profitable assortment.
- Manage redistribution of inventory to maximize profitability, identifying and executing relocation strategies as needed.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or relevant field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 4 years of pertinent experience in purchasing and information systems.
- Proficient in building relationships and communicating effectively across organizational levels.
- 6 years of relevant experience in purchasing and information systems.
- Background in HVAC distribution environment.
- Experience in training others on purchasing system usage.
- Familiarity with Blue Ridge, E3, and Clarity purchasing systems/software.
- Alternatively, experience with inventory planning software such as Manhattan Associates, JDA Inventory, Demand Solutions, or Logility.
