Job Summary
We're seeking an experienced, energetic Bar Manager to lead our team and operations. You'll oversee daily bar activities, ensure exceptional guest experiences, manage inventory and staff, and help grow our unique non-alcoholic venue in one of the most exciting tourist destinations in the country. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all front-of-house and bar operations, including opening/closing procedures, drink preparation, and guest service
- Lead, train, schedule, and motivate a small team of kavatenders, and support staff
- Manage inventory of kava, kratom, Kombucha andTHC products, and other supplies—ordering, stock rotation, and cost control
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, health & safety compliance, and a welcoming, relaxed atmosphere
- Drive sales through creative promotions, events (weekly themes, live music, community nights), offsite events, happy hours, and excellent customer engagement
- Handle POS system, cash handling, daily reporting, and basic financial tracking
- Ensure consistent quality and brewing/preparation of kava, kratom, and other beverages (training provided on specifics if needed)
- Resolve guest issues professionally and build loyal repeat customers
- Collaborate with ownership on menu ideas, specials, and ways to enhance the Key West vibe
Qualifications & Skills
- 2 years of bar/restaurant management experience (bar, café, lounge, or similar fast-casual venue preferred)
- Strong leadership and team-building skills—experience managing staff
- Knowledge of inventory management, cost control, and basic P&L understanding
- Passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences
- Flexible availability—including evenings, weekends, and some holidays (Key West is 24/7!)
- Reliable, positive attitude with great communication and problem-solving skills
- Bonus: Experience with non-alcoholic bars, wellness beverages, kava/kratom/THC products, or event planning
- Strong organizational skills a must
