Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of non-alcoholic beverages, including kava drinks, coffee, teas, and specialty drinks with precision and care
- Greet guests warmly, taking orders accurately using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems to ensure smooth transactions
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests, answering questions about menu items, and offering recommendations
- Maintain cleanliness of the lounge area, including food handling and beverage preparation stations, adhering to food safety standards
- Process cash and card transactions efficiently while managing retail sales transactions with accuracy
- Assist in setting up and breaking down event spaces, ensuring all areas are tidy and inviting before and after events
- Follow proper food handling procedures and safety protocols to ensure a safe environment for both guests and staff
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or café environments is highly preferred, especially with barista or beverage preparation roles
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Square POS or Toast POS is advantageous
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle cash handling and retail sales transactions confidently
- Knowledge of food safety standards, food handling procedures, and basic math skills for accurate order processing
- Experience in beverage service, including drink presentation and serving techniques
- Ability to manage time effectively during busy periods while maintaining attention to detail in food preparation and customer interactions
- Prior experience working in the food industry or café setting will help you thrive in this energetic role
