Overview
Kaukahi, LLC is seeking entry-level Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) Technicians to support facility survey projects across the United States. This full-time role offers career progression opportunities and requires proficiency in AutoCAD and Bentley MicroStation, along with a solid understanding of architectural floor plans and AEC standards. CAD Technicians will be responsible for creating detailed and accurate floor plans from field drawings, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring all technical drawings meet industry standards. Knowledge of the Army's Enterprise Solution for Space Utilization Management is a plus. Assignments may range from several days to several months depending on project size, and up to 100% travel may be required.
Tasks:
- Use CAD tools to create and update digital floor plans of buildings on military installation.
- Develop and maintain technical drawings and schematics using computer-aided design software.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, designers, and project managers, to ensure project success.
- Accurately document space usage within buildings floor plan based on standardized criteria and attributes.
- Utilize computing and digital measuring devices to generate highly accurate floor plans.
- Organize, maintain, and update CAD files, project documentation, and design libraries to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Maintain a high level of productivity.
- Ensure drawings are accurate, clear, and concise, and meet industry standards.
- Interact in a professional manner.
Responsibilities
Requirements:
- Associates in related field
- At least 1-3 years of experience in a CAD Technician role
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with a high degree of accuracy
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to manage multiple projects, maintain organized documentation, and meet project deadlines
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Basic computer skills
- Solid proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Physically able to walk or stand for more than 6 hours per day
- Ability to travel up to 100% in a given week/month

Physical Requirements
Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Position may require typing and reading from a computer screen. Must have sufficient mobility, including but not limited to bending, reaching, and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner.
