What You'll Contribute:
Kaufman Rossin is seeking an experienced Tax Manager with M&A experience to join our dynamic Tax Advisory Services team. This leadership role focuses on supporting corporate and private equity clients through buy-side and sell-side transactions, delivering high-quality tax due diligence, structuring advice, and transaction modeling.
- Support corporate and private equity clients in connection with buy-side and sell-side transactions, including tax due diligence, transaction structuring, and tax modeling
- Lead and manage tax due diligence engagements from planning through report delivery
- Prepare and present tax due diligence findings and comprehensive reports to senior management, executive stakeholders, and client leadership teams
- Lead technical tax research on complex issues and develop practical tax planning strategies within the context of transactions
- Analyze and advise on Subchapter C, Subchapter K, and other U.S. federal corporate and partnership tax matters related to M&A activity
- Review tax provisions in merger agreements and legal documents and provide structuring insights
- Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for clients, managing multiple engagements in a fast-paced environment
- Collaborate closely with Partners and Directors on complex technical matters
- Mentor and develop Associates and Seniors, reviewing work product and providing meaningful feedback
- Ensure compliance with Kaufman Rossin's quality control and engagement management standards
What Skills You'll Bring
- CPA or JD required
- 4-5 years of public accounting experience, with exposure to tax due diligence, transaction tax, or M&A tax advisory
- Strong knowledge of U.S. federal corporate and partnership tax principles
- Experience working directly with clients and managing multiple concurrent projects
- Strong technical research, analytical, and tax modeling capabilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate complex tax matters for non-tax audiences
- Ability to thrive in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment
- Experience supporting and managing buy-side and sell-side tax due diligence engagements
- Experience working with private equity-backed companies
- Strong leadership and project management skills
- Self-starter with the ability to prioritize multiple competing demands
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to work additional hours during peak transaction cycles
