Job Summary

Duties
- Prepare and dispense medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Utilize aseptic technique for the preparation of IV infusions and other sterile products.
- Provide exceptional patient service by answering questions and addressing concerns regarding medications.
- Assist in managing inventory, including ordering, restocking, and maintaining accurate records of medications.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care in critical care environments.
- Maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements and pharmacy policies.
- Document medication administration accurately in patient records.
- Stay updated on medical terminology and pharmacy practices to enhance service delivery.
Requirements
- Certification as a Pharmacy Technician is preferred; experience in a hospital setting is a plus.
- Knowledge of aseptic technique and IV infusion preparation is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology related to pharmaceuticals and patient care.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient service.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, particularly within acute care settings.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills are essential for managing multiple tasks efficiently.
- Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician or in medication administration is advantageous.
