Katzman Produce, a leading produce wholesaler/distributor based in NYC, is seeking a Transportation Clerk to join our team. If you have previous administrative support and are interested in learning more about the produce and logistics industry we want to get to know you! Our trucker clerks play a pivotal role in our daily operations. In order to be successful you will need to have great attention to detail, organizational skills, ability to multitask and prioritize multiple tasks. As a trucker clerk you will also be responsible for company advocacy and continuing the development of our relationships with our customers. Customer Satisfaction and care is important and any escalated issues need to be communicated with our Trucking Manager and Director of Operations as necessary!
You will be handling administrative tasks, answering phone calls, and handling back end organization for our trucking department. In this role you are also communicating and coordinating with all of our drivers and helping to provide updates to both drivers and customers.

Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
Schedule: 9:00pm - 5:45am

- Responsible for clerical administrative duties, including but not limited to, scanning, answering phone calls, filing
- Maintain department record keeping requirements
- Daily upkeep and entering of all daily paperwork from drivers
- Process Pre-trip and Post-trip paperwork with drivers
- Maintain records for vehicle registrations, license tags, infractions, and EZ-pass accounts
- Monitor and track driver whereabouts on GPS
- Assist with handling driver incoming calls and requests
- Interact with customers in a calm and professional manner
- Provide accurate updates and information to customers when needed
- Maintain and initiate safety processes and procedures as required
- Other responsibilities as assigned
- 2 years of administrative or clerical support experience
- Great communication and organizational skills
- Attention to detail
- Spanish speaking is preferred but not required
- Previous customer service experience is a MUST!

- This position is standing and moving around for 8-10 hours per shift
- Ability to lift 50lbs multiple times a day
