Responsibilities:
- Independently manage employment litigation matters with minimal supervision
- Coordinate with legal assistants and maintain strong client communication
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and other litigation documents
- Conduct court appearances and attend conferences
- Negotiate settlements and support the resolution strategy
- Manage deadlines, workflows, and litigation processes efficiently
Requirements:
- 3 years of employment litigation experience OR 2 years of employment experience combined with 2 years of general litigation experience
- An active New York Bar admission
- Ability to independently manage cases with little supervision
- Strong organizational and case management skills
- A systems- and process-oriented mindset
- Highly adaptable, self-sufficient, and collaborative professional demeanor
Bonus Experience:
- Class Action experience
- Plaintiff-side employment litigation experience
- Fluent in Spanish
- Experience handling class actions from inception through approval
- Admitted in New Jersey or eligible/willing to obtain NJ admission
- Standard office hours with work-life balance
