Position Summary:
Katrina’s Creative Learning Center is seeking a dedicated, nurturing, and energetic Full-Time Teacher’s Assistant to support our Pre-Kindergarten and School-Age classrooms. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children, foster positive relationships with families and staff, and help create a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment.
Responsibilities Include:
- Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans and classroom activities.
- Provide a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment for children ages 4–12.
- Supervise children during classroom activities, outdoor play, meals, rest time, and field trips.
- Encourage positive social interactions and model appropriate behavior.
- Support children's emotional, social, cognitive, and physical development.
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment.
- Communicate professionally and positively with children, families, and fellow staff members.
- Assist with classroom preparation, material organization, and daily documentation as needed.
- Ensure all state licensing regulations and center policies are followed at all times.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and center events.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience working with children in a childcare, school, or related setting preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be dependable, flexible, and reliable.
- Ability to meet all state licensing requirements, including required clearances and trainings.
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire.
