Installation Technician

Position Overview: We are looking for hands-on, mechanically inclined professionals to join our Install Team. In this role, you’ll travel to customer locations and work on-site to install commercial kitchen and restaurant equipment. You’ll represent KaTom through professionalism, precision, and pride in your work.

This position is ideal for individuals with plumbing, carpentry, or mechanical experience who enjoy working in the field, using tools, and seeing a job well done.

What You’ll Do:

• Travel to customer sites for on-time installation of restaurant equipment
• Install a wide range of commercial kitchen equipment: ovens, freezers, fryers, steamers, refrigerators, holding units, and more
• Operate a variety of power tools and hand tools
• Follow all safety protocols and report safety concerns
• Work professionally and collaboratively with customers, team members, and vendors
• Represent KaTom with a customer-first, can-do attitude
• Maintain regular, reliable attendance
• Assist in other areas (e.g., warehouse) as needed
• Perform all duties in accordance with company policies

What You Bring:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 2 years of relevant hands-on experience (installation, construction, or mechanical)
• Mechanically inclined – familiarity with plumbing, carpentry, or electrical a plus
• Comfortable using hand tools
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (required for company insurance coverage)
• Willingness and ability to travel overnight for out-of-state installs
• Able to lift up to 100 pounds regularly
• Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills
• Ability to work in varying climates (install environments are not always climate-controlled)
• Willingness to adapt and support different areas of the business as needed

Work Schedule:

• Full-time, on-site position based in Kodak, TN
• Must be available for overtime and overnight travel as needed
• $75/day per diem provided for overnight travel
• Flexibility required on installation schedules and business needs

Compensation & Benefits:

• $25.00/hour starting pay
• $75/day per diem for overnight travel
