Licensed Mental Health Therapist

We are a small group of dedicated licensed therapists serving the CU community. Collaboratively, we work on a variety of different issues with our clients but each clinician has their own niche within the practice. These include trauma, attachment, neurodivergence, depression, and anxiety. As a group, we foster a supportive environment to allow each individual therapist the space to find their specialty and grow their skills in these areas. We hope to find a therapist who is eager to serve their clients while maintaining a balance between work and life outside of work. You get to choose your own hours which lends itself to a lot of flexibility with scheduling and finding this desired balance of work and life outside of work.

Requirements:

• Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or other related mental health degree
• Licensure in Illinois as a Social Worker (LSW, LCSW), Professional Counselor (LPC, LCPC), or Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Psychologist
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations
• Proficiency in managing own calendar system and EHR system
• Ability to work independently and implement time management strategies
• Ability to provide necessary self-care
• Knowledge of principles and techniques of clinical therapy
• Skills applying a variety of treatment modalities with clients to meet their specific needs
• Knowledge and skills using the DSM to assess and make accurate diagnoses
• Demonstrate the ability to communicate and effectively serve clients across cultures, ranges of ability, genders, sexual orientations, ethnicities, and races

Responsibilities of job:

• Provide mental health counseling to clients with various needs
• Maintain own schedule of therapy sessions
• Communicate effectively with current and potential clients
• Complete intake sessions with clients to identify their needs, goals, and diagnoses
• Utilize assessment knowledge and tools to make appropriate diagnoses for each client
• Establish a trusting relationship with each client
• Record and maintain progress notes for each client
• Assess goal progress and re-evaluate needs for each client
• Create progress reports and other documentation for clients as requested
• Participation in group meetings/case consultations biweekly
• Attend supervision one hour per week
• Stay up to date with current research and best practices in mental health
• Maintain licensure and any CEU requirements

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
