About the Role

The Katie Brown Educational Program (KBEP) is seeking a passionate, full-time, year-round Educator to join our mission-driven team. In this role, you will deliver engaging, evidence-based violence prevention and healthy relationship programming to students in grades 4 through 12 throughout Southeastern Massachusetts and parts of Rhode Island.

KBEP Educators spend the majority of their time teaching directly in schools and community settings, empowering young people with the skills and knowledge to build safer, healthier relationships and communities. Programming may also take place in youth groups, after-school programs, therapeutic settings, and other community-based environments.

When not scheduled to teach in schools or community programs, Educators are expected to work from the KBEP office to support program planning, administrative responsibilities, collaboration, and other organizational initiatives.

As a KBEP Educator, you are more than a presenter. You are an important part of a collaborative team dedicated to creating meaningful impact in the communities we serve.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate violence prevention and healthy relationship education programs for youth in grades 4–12
  • Build positive, professional relationships with students, educators, and community partners
  • Support public awareness campaigns, outreach initiatives, and community events
  • Assist with curriculum development, program evaluation, and data collection
  • Participate in organizational projects and team initiatives aligned with individual strengths and interests
  • Maintain accurate records and complete required administrative tasks on time.

Qualifications

  • No degree requirement. All academic backgrounds are encouraged to apply
  • At least one year of experience working with youth in school or community-based settings
  • Strong interest in violence prevention, healthy relationships, and youth development
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Confidence facilitating large groups and creating inclusive, engaging learning environments
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Flexibility, professionalism, and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset
  • Bilingual candidates, particularly those fluent in Spanish and/or Portuguese, are strongly encouraged to apply

Requirements

  • Reliable transportation
  • Ability to pass a standard CORI background check
  • Standard work hours are 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with occasional flexibility based on programming needs

Interview Process Note

Due to a high number of missed interviews this year, we kindly ask all candidates to confirm their interview the day before it is scheduled. As a small nonprofit organization, our team balances many responsibilities, and timely confirmations help us plan effectively. If we do not receive confirmation, the interview may be canceled and rescheduled. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to connecting with candidates who are passionate about this work.
