The HR Generalist supports day-to-day human resource operations within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for administering HR policies, procedures, and programs that support the full employee life cycle including recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, employee relations, training, compliance, and performance management. The HR Generalist partners with both management and employees to promote a positive, safe, and productive workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities
- Recruitment & Onboarding
- Coordinate hourly and salaried recruiting, including job postings, screening, and interviewing.
- May facilitate new hire onboarding and orientation to ensure a smooth transition into the company.
- Maintain accurate new hire documentation and personnel records.
- Employee Relations
- Serve as a resource for employees and supervisors regarding HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
- May assist in investigating and resolving employee concerns, disciplinary actions, and performance issues.
- Support initiatives to promote employee engagement, retention, and morale.
- Benefits & Compensation Administration
- Administer employee benefits, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, and retirement plans.
- May assist with open enrollment, benefit changes, and employee inquiries.
- May support payroll processing and ensure accurate employee data maintenance.
- Compliance & Reporting
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws (EEO, FMLA, ADA, FLSA, etc.).
- Maintain HR records and prepare reports as required (EEO-1, OSHA, etc.).
- Participate in safety and compliance programs aligned with manufacturing standards.
- Training & Development
- Coordinate employee training programs, including safety, compliance, and professional development.
- Support performance review and goal-setting processes.
- HR Systems & Process Improvement
- Maintain HRIS data accuracy and generate reports as needed.
- Recommend process improvements to enhance HR efficiency and employee experience.
Required Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 35 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong knowledge of employment law, HR practices, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity.
- Adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-paced, production-oriented environment.
