Pre-K Special Education Ed. Tech.

Brunswick’s Special Education Department is seeking a 1:1 Pre-K Special Education Ed. Tech. to join the team at Kate Furbish Elementary School. This position provides direct support to a Pre-K student with functional and mobility needs in the school setting. Functional support may include transitioning the student from one location to another, utilizing mobility equipment, and providing supervision and support with toileting. Successful candidates will support a Pre-K student in building persistence, advocating for themselves, and building independence in tasks when possible. Additionally, candidates must demonstrate the skills necessary to closely collaborate with team members to manage students’ programs. This may include supporting students in the regular and special education settings (virtual or in person) in small groups or 1:1, implementing students’ IEPs and behavior plans, and supporting students’ unique needs as appropriate. Successful candidates will also provide support on Special Education transportation.

Qualifications:

• 2 Years of College or Equivalent Experience preferred

• Ed Tech Authorization through the Maine Department of Education

• Maine Criminal History Records Check
