The Pharmaceutical Lab Equipment Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing activities within an analytical laboratory. Key responsibilities include overseeing equipment maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance and reliability. The candidate is also expected to train and mentor junior lab members and collaborate with key stakeholders in lab related activities.
Position is **Full Time, Monday – Friday, 8am-5:00pm with overtime as needed.** Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of **Cambridge** **, MA** are encouraged to apply.
The Pharmaceutical Lab Equipment Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing activities within an analytical laboratory. Key responsibilities include overseeing equipment maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance and reliability. The candidate is also expected to train and mentor junior lab members and collaborate with key stakeholders in lab related activities.
- _Responsibilities:_**
- Oversee all aspects of instrument operations for an R&D analytical laboratory including maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair
- Hands-on troubleshooting of basic issues along with coordination with instrument vendors on preventive maintenance and repairs as needed
- Serve as point of contact with additional internal/external stakeholders (lab operations, facilities, IT, instrument vendor, etc.) for lab related activities, such as instrument installation, PM, and relocation
- Train and mentor junior lab members on proper instrument operation and data analysis using common CDS software packages including Empower, Openlab CDS, Chemstation, and Masslynx
- Ensure the safety of lab-based personnel working in the analytical lab area by collaborating with EHS and lab safety teams
- Perform other activities as required
- _Basic Minimum Qualifications:_**
- Bachelors degree in chemistry, pharmaceutical science, or related scientific discipline
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience in daily operation and troubleshooting of HPLC (Agilent, Waters) and GC Systems (Agilent)
- Must be proficient with Empower software
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, good interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Highly self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented with a can-do attitude
- The ability to commute between two different sites within Cambridge, MA as needed; public transportation is encouraged
- _Preferred Qualifications:_**
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience operating and troubleshooting LC-MS (Agilent, Waters)
- In-depth knowledge and experience with Openlab and Masslynx softwares
