What are the responsibilities and job description for the Debug Technician position at Katalyst CRO?
Responsibilities
- Responsible for repairs / troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical assemblies within the manufacturing operation.
- Full 5 years are needed where they could run a lab doing deep component level PCB testing.
- Perform advanced board-level troubleshooting and component-level debug on complex multi-layer server and data center PCBAs, including CPU, GPU, FPGA, ASIC, memory, and power subsystems.
- Diagnose high-speed signal, power distribution, and mixed-signal circuits using schematics, PCB layout files, POST codes, BMC logs, boundary scan, and diagnostic utilities.
- Utilize advanced test equipment including high-bandwidth oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, protocol analyzers, power analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and automated test platforms.
- 5 years of experience in enterprise server, storage, or networking hardware repair.
- Strong understanding of server power architecture, VRMs, power sequencing, and high-speed signal integrity fundamentals.
- Experience with BGA rework, PCIe interfaces, and high-speed interconnects.
- Ability to read and interpret complex schematics and PCB layout files.
